Dear Commrades, My name is Semih Kilincel and I had the chance to serve in TCG KOCATEPE D-354/2 (ex USS Norris) as well as its sister ship TCG KOCATEPE (ex USS Harwood). When USS Norris arrived in Turkey, it was in a non operational state. It took us three months to reinstate the vessel in operational mode. That was the best period of my military life as I was able to see the Vessel obtain 33 knots maximum speed. I served there from 1975 until 1977. I will be very happy to here from you.
